2026 is the National Year of Reading, so I'd encourage everyone to make it their mission to read more. Make it your habit to always carry a book. whether you're standing in line somewhere, waiting at a bus stop or feeling a little bored on a wet Sunday afternoon, unsure what to do with yourself. Those are the ideal moments to pick up book and immerse yourself in another world, meet different characters, discover new authors or unfamiliar cultures. If fiction isn't your thing, consider the things you've always wanted to know more about, but never had the time or felt the motivation to find a book that could help you learn more. Make the National Year of Reading 2026 also the year of acquiring new knowledge and broadening your understanding of the world.
